Mark has been playing the electric bass since 1992. He was invited to audition at his local church youth group for keyboards, but was asked if he could play bass because there was no one else. He played that same night and a strong natural connection with the instrument was formed. He spent the formative years of his musical life playing at church and youth every week, an opportunity which he says shaped him and made him who is today. Mark still plays at his local church, but has played all over the world since that time with various artists.

Currently Mark plays with Planetshakers from Melbourne and tours extensively with them. He also plays in Brisbane with Tambu, Soul Engine and Rush, as well as with vocalists Simon Watson, Natalie Dunn, Angie Narayan, Leah Rush, Alison Joyce and others.
